“The Pawtucket Farmers Market Association, incorporated on March 9th, 2023 following a committee meeting to ratify the decision, exists in the city of Pawtucket, RI in order to plan and execute events that support small Rhode Island-based businesses. It is the association’s goal to operate programming that improves the accessibility of local food and artisan products. This entity will operate as a non-profit organization, with any and all proceeds being reinvested into growing and sustaining the organization within the community.”

& Did You Know about the LIFE Cafe?

LIFE Cafe has won a BEST OF Rhode Island Award by the editors of Rhode Island Monthly Magazine!

A woman and a man smiling and wearing aprons labeled 'LIFE CAFE' inside a cafe with large windows. The woman is on the left, wearing a black cap and a white shirt with blue birds, and the man is on the right, wearing a black cap and an orange shirt.

Inclusive Coffee Shop: “With accessible yoga classes, affordable and market-rate apartments, and an art studio for people with developmental disabilities, Shri’s transformation of a former office building in Pawtucket’s Conant Thread District was already a home run. Last year, the property added another initiative in its inclusivity portfolio: LIFE Cafe, a coffee shop that doubles as a job training site for people with disabilities. Operated by Bristol-based LIFE Inc., the cafe offers espresso drinks, snacks, and breakfast sandwiches in a comfortable environment where all are welcome. Plus, it transformed a blighted former garage into a hip coffee counter in a quickly revitalizing neighborhood. Talk about a win-win.” - August 2025
