When a Resident from our Building Attends Your Class
The project has been set up in myshri called: ** RESIDENT (CLASS) ATTENDANCE | SSC In Studio Drop-Ins
This will pay teachers when residents from our building drop into OPEN or SPONSORED classes for free, covered by SSC’s general fund. This does not include Shri teachers who attend classes.
Because the nonprofit arm at Shri (SSC) reimburses free services at a reduced rate (per IRS rules), the rate / student will be $3 / class (instead of $5 if someone actually paid).
For teachers to receive this rate in their monthly pay, they need to do the following THREE steps in myshri:
Go to “manage projects” and scroll down to the **RESIDENT (CLASS) ATTENDANCE | SSC In Studio Drop-Ins project and click on “classes” (far right side of screen)
From the next screen click “add class to project” and switch your name as the sub, enter the date and time of the class; in the notes section list the student’s name (example: Ian Moncrief) followed by “add class” at the bottom to to save
You do not (and should not) change the name of the class. You can just note it in the teacher note section quickly like this: “Ian attended Spa Sunday today.”
The class name will auto fill >>
**RESIDENT (CLASS) ATTENDANCE | SSC In Studio Drop-Ins
Then for attendance, list the number of building residents (if it’s just Ian, then it’s 1) under PAYING ATTENDEES
NOTE: it’s under paying attendees (NOT SPONSORED) so teachers get paid by the number of students (even though in this case Ian is not paying) >> sponsored in the coding right now generates a flat rate regardless of number entered, so this is our work around until a software upgrade
Also >> note your putting this in the (CLASS) not (EVENT) project, which is listed right below it.
(EVENT) is for when residents come to sound baths etc. (not a regularly scheduled weekly CLASS) on the schedule.
